Getting started
Four steps, at your pace. No diagnosis required, and no funding needed to start the conversation.
Get in touch
A short referral form — your child's needs, your current situation.
What we need from you: A few details about your child. No diagnosis required.A home visit or call
A relaxed conversation to understand your child and build the first support plan together — including, where relevant, what they actually love doing.
What we need from you: An hour or so of your time, whenever suits you.Matching
We match a trained, DBS-checked companion to your family — the same one or two people, wherever possible.
What we need from you: Nothing — this part is on us.First session
We start small, review often, and adjust as we learn what actually works for your child.
What we need from you: An open mind. We expect to fine-tune as we go.What does it cost?
It depends on your circumstances — and we'll be upfront
Here's which applies, and we'll tell you plainly which one is yours.
You have funding
If you have a personal budget, Direct Payment, or local authority funding, we can be paid directly through that.
You're paying privately
A straightforward hourly rate, discussed before you commit to anything.
No funding, can't self-fund
Ask us about subsidised hours — a limited number of grant-funded places exist specifically for families in exactly that position.
Not sure if you qualify for any funding at all?
Many parents haven't been told they can request a Parent Carer Needs Assessment or a Child in Need assessment — both are a right, independent of any diagnosis or funding your child currently has. We're happy to talk you through what that means before you speak to your local authority.
